Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital is accredited as a result of its demonstrated compliance with Joint Commission's nationally recognized health care standards. Founded in 1951, Joint Commission is dedicated to continuously improving the safety and quality of the nation's health care through voluntary accreditation.
The American Academy for the Certification of Brain Injury Specialists (AACBIS) offers a voluntary national certification program for both entry-level staff and experienced professionals working in brain injury services. AACBIS provides staff and professionals the opportunity to learn important information about brain injury, to demonstrate their learning in a written examination, and to earn a nationally recognized credential. Spalding has the largest number of staff of any organization, to achieve this certification.
